Introduction
Security Code allows for the configuration of the various security levels in order to limit the use of menu items, options, windows and functions within IMPACT!

Once the Security Code option is selected, the following window is displayed
Security Code Maintenance Window
Options are:
Exit - | Navigates back to the main IMPACT window without making any changes. |
Add - | Creates a new record. |
Edit - | Modify an existing record. |
Delete - | Removes an existing record. |
Print - | Prints the record list to the print queue. |
Main tab
Objective: The purpose of the main tab is to display the main options to limit and restrict the functions that the users will be allowed to access in IMPACT!

Security Code - | This is a three digits unique security identifier. This can be alphanumeric. |
Security - | It is a customizable level. Possible values on the security level are in order of lowest to highest 1-9 and A-Z. This field is used to control access to various functions within IMPACT! such as Activity Codes, Result Codes, Status Codes, Letters, User Defined Windows, Transaction Codes, Adding Additional Users and more.
Level Z security carries particular attributes which are only at that level. This level also is along with a specified password to change a status where the status code level is set to Z for removal. Security levels X, Y, and Z also carry special privileges. Anyone at those levels can insert and delete notes as well as have the ability to enter notes or add notes to an account with no next work date. |
Login Screen Role - | This function determines Client Portal and UI menu functionality interface options. |
Description - | This is the description of the Security Code. |
Client Table View Only - | This option is to determine if a user has rights to the Client Table Menu. These options allow or restrict the ability to add/edit/print Client information. |
Allow Access Trans Link Control Check Box in Batch Setup - | Use the drop-down selector to set this flag to “Yes” to define users in this Security Group to have access to use the Trans Link Control Checkbox when defining the attributes of a Transaction Batch. The default setting is “No”. |
Allow Remove Trans Link Control IDs - | Use the drop-down selector to set this flag to “Yes” to define users in this Security Group to have the ability to remove Transaction Link IDs from the Transaction Detail Window. |
Company Security - | Options in this section are to INCLUDE or EXCLUDE Companies displayed in the drop-down selector to the right of this option or to select ALL for all Companies in the Company table. |
Allow Letters on Demand in Demog - | The options are YES and NO. If the option is set to YES, this will allow the user the option to generate a letter “on-the-fly” to the print queue from the demographics using the “LETTER ON DEMAND”. This can be used in place of requesting a letter to be generated through the Generate Letters nightly process. |
Override Min Settlement % - | Set this option to yes to allow the user to override the minimum settlement percentage setup in the client table. |
Delete WC Documents - | This option restricts the ability to delete documents from the work card. |
Maximum Work Date Advancement - | This is the greatest number of days from the note entry date that a user can advance the next work. This applies to all status classes except of LEGAL accounts (Status Class 4). |
Minimum CrdRpt (Credit Report) Amount - | This is the minimum account balance required to order a copy of the debtor’s credit report for the user. |
Protect CBR Fields - | The options for this are YES or NO. When CBR fields are protected, a user will not be able to change the reporting status of the debt to credit bureaus. They will not have access to update the compliance condition code as well. |
Edit/Delete WorkHistory - | There are 3 options available: No, Edit, EditDelete. No does not allow user to delete or edit from the work history in the work card. Edit allows the user to edit entries in the work history. EditDelete allows the user to delete entries from the work history in addition to editing them. |
Edit Protected Debtor Fields - | There are 3 options available: No, Yes, View. Protected Debtor Fields are accessible in the work card via the Account Details button. No does not allow the user to click on the button, therefore the user will not be able to view or edit these fields in the Account Details. Yes will allow the user to click the button and make changes to the protected debtor fields. View will allow the user to click on the button and view but not edit the debtor protected fields. |
Disp Prev PhnPay - | Display previous phone pays yes option allows the user to see the previous phone pays set in the account. |
WC Protect Client Info/Fields - | The options for this are YES or NO. If YES has been selected, it will allow the user to view the client information from the work card. If NO has been selected, this will prevent the user from seeing client information.

Dem Group Id Remove/Add to - | The options for this are REMOVE, ADD TO, or BOTH. If REMOVE has been selected, this means that the option to remove the DEM Group ID. If ADD TO has been selected, it means that you have the ability to assign a DEM Group ID to a demographic. If BOTH has been selected, this will mean that you have the option to add and remove a DEM Group ID. |
Allow ABA from Agent Work Screen (Workcard) - | The options for this are YES or NO. If YES has been selected then, you have the possibility to add a new routing and ABA bank information from the phone pay window. If NO has been selected, the user will not be able to add ABA information. |
Step Thru Work List - | The options for this are YES or NO. Selecting YES allows the user to skip accounts without working them. Selecting NO forces each account to be worked in order. |
Allow Exec Financial Actions - | The options for this are YES or NO. When this field is set to yes the user has the ability to execute financial actions from within the work card. |
Protect Loan Service Fields - | The options for this are YES or NO. . When this option is set to yes, users under this Security Code not be able to update any of the Loan Servicing fields in the Work Card as well as be able to use any of the Loan Servicing functionality buttons (Save loan, extend loan, charge off, etc...). When this option is set to No, the Loan Service field and functionality buttons will be unrestricted. |
Email Attachment Max Size (MB) - | This field limits the attachment size on emails sent from the work card using the email feature. This limitation is in Megabytes. |
Allow New Code Entries (Desk, Status, Priority, Ltr Ser, Categories, WrkFlo) - | The options for these are YES or No. If YES has been selected, this will enable the user to make changes to the item according to the security level. Selecting NO denies changing access to these fields. |
Menu tab
Objective : The purpose of this tab is to display and restrict which menu items users associated to this security code will have access to. Putting a check mark on an entry will allow the user associated with this security code to have access to that menu item in the system. Putting a check mark on a category will automatically check all items within that category

Legal tab
Objective: The purpose of the legal tab is to display all restrictions associated with the legal module.

Max Lgl (legal) Work Date Advancement - | This is the greatest number of days from the note entry date that a user can advance the next work date of any LEGAL accounts (Status Class 4). |
Protect Legal Tabs - | There are 2 options Yes and No. When this option is set to Yes then the legal tabs/menu items are protected. The level of protection is defined in system parameters under the Lgl Tabs |
Plaintiff / Defendant Updates - | There are 4 options Plntf Only, Dfndt Only, Both, and None. When the Plntf Only option is set, the user is able to update the plaintiff in the legal module. When the Dfndt Only option is set, the user is able to update the Defendant in the legal module. When the Both option is set, the user is able to update both the Plaintiff and the Defendant in the legal module. When the None option is set, the user is not able to update the Plaintiff nor the Defendant. |
Legal Aliases - | There are 2 options View Only and Add/Modify/Delete. When this option is set to view only, the user can only see the legal aliases. When this option is set to Add/Modify/Delete, the user can add, modify and delete legal aliases. |
Delete Case Party in Legal - | There are 2 options Yes and No. When the option is set to yes, the user can delete legal case parties in the legal module. |
Edit Legal Case Number - | There are 3 options Edit Temporary Case Numbers Only, Edit All Case Numbers, and Do Not Change Case Number. When the option Edit Temporary Case Number is set, the user can change the case number, but only when this case number is a temporary case number (usually starts with TEMP) When the option Edit All Case Numbers is set, the user can change the case number always. When the option Do Not Change Case Number is set, the user cannot change th case number ever. |
Link / Match tab:
Objective: The purpose of th Link/Match tab is to display all restrictions associated with linking and matching.

LNK/MTCH LST UPDT - Options are the following and images below shows how it looks like from the Work Card – Link List window:
- New/Remove
- New Only
- Remove Only
- None
a. New/Remove - This option enables the button in the Link List tab when there are no current links. The button is enabled when a link is selected. Clicking will remove the selected link.

b. New Only - This option only enables the button in the Link List.
c. Remove Only - This option only enables the button to allow deletions. If a user clicks on the
button, the system shows a message indicating ‘Restricted by your Security Level’.
d. None - This option restricts both adding or deleting links. When either is attempted by the user, the system will display a message ‘Restricted by your Security Level’.

Cascade Dsk/Sts Entry - | The options for this are YES or NO. If the option is set to YES, this means that while the user is in the main work card entry and places the account on a new desk (in the NEW DESK field), the desk that has entered will be prompted to all the accounts within the link list in the cascade form. |
Auto Select for Cascade - | The options for this are YES or NO. When accounts are linked, and this option is set to YES, the cascading process to change account information such as status, and priority are automatically selected as “YES” to propagate the changes to all other linked accounts. When this option is set to NO, the possibility to cascade still exists but each account linked must be selected individually. |
Change Dsk/Sts Link List - The options for this are YES or NO.
If set to YES, the user can use the Edit record button to enable Desk and Status change from the Link List and then use the
Save button to save changes made.

If set to NO, then the Edit button and
Save button are both disabled and when user hovers over to the
Edit button will show the message ‘Restricted by your Security Level

Allow Edit Link Key - | The options for this are YES or NO. When the option is set to Yes then the Link Key can be edited in the work card. When the option is set to No then the Link Key cannot be edited. |
Allow Edit Payoff Priority - | The options for this are YES or NO. When the option is set to Yes then the Payoff Priority can be edited. When the option is set to No then the Payoff Priority cannot be edited. |
Mask Data tab :
Objective: Allows the following fields to be masked from the Work Card

The following are the masking options
- No: The data in the corresponding field is displayed entirely with no masking.
- Yes: The data in the corresponding field is displayed masked except for the last four characters
- Display: The data in the corresponding field is displayed masked except for the last four characters but a button to unmask the entire field is available.
Dems tab :
Objective: The objective of the Dems tab is to configure the demographics for lookup and the demographics where the name won't be able to be changed.

Default Lookup Demographic IDs: | This option is used to change the default demographic(s) to include when using the LOOKUP function. By default, the LOOKUP function will include demographics A0-D0 when looking up accounts. Once a Demographic ID(s) has been selected from this list, the LOOKUP function will ONLY include the selected Demographics ID(s) when looking up accounts for any users that are under this security code |
Secure Name on Demographic IDs: | This option allows the user to select the Demographic IDs that will be restricted from updates from the work card. In other words, users in this group will not have access to perform updates to the selected Demographic IDs as they will be disabled (“greyed-out”) in the work card and will not be able to be edited. These can, however, be changed by a batch process. |
Executables tab
Objective: This tab shows all the executables that can be opened from within the work card. Executables can be programs such as word, emails, etc, or websites.

Label - | The value of this field will be displayed in the work card, and this is what the user will see as the executable. |
Executable - | This value is the path and the executable that will be opened when the executable is clicked in the work card. |
Arguments - | In some instances like when opening a web page the executable will be the program such as FireFox. The Argument will be the website url. |

Objective: Records all the changes were done to the Security Code Table
