The CSV Data Import allows users to define a mapping template that is used to import new debtors batches from a CSV file.

Once the CSV Data Import option is selected, the following window is displayed containing all the templates currently available.
CSV Data Import Maintenance Window
|Exit -||Navigates back to the main IMPACT window without making any changes|
|Add -||Creates a new record.|
|Edit -||Modify an existing record.|
|Delete -||Removes an existing record.|
|Import -||Execute the selected CSV Data Import Code. When clicking Import it will pop up a window to enter/browse to the file path for the file to be imported.|

|CSV Code -||Enter a unique 5 character alpha/numeric code to identify the import.|
|CSV Description -||Enter a description for the CSV Import.|
|Default Company -||Select a default company that will be used for the new business batch. This drop down will display the available Company Codes from the Company Code Table. The "company" field can also be mapped if the file contains records that will be imported to multiple companies in file. In this case, the default company will be overwritten by the mapped company from the file.|
|Default Client -||Select a default client that will be used for the new business batch. Click the button next to the field expose a list of available Client Codes to select from the Client Code Table. A default company must first be selected you must select a Client Codes that belongs to the specified Company Code above. Similarly to the company, the "client" field can also be mapped if the file contains records from multiple clients in file. In this case, the default client will be overwritten by the mapped client in the file.|
|Date Format -||Select the date format that is being used for any date fields that are being included in the import file.|
|Availble Columns -||List of available new business fields that can be selected as part of the CSV mapping to be imported. Select a field from the available columsn and use the right arrow or insert buttons to add a field to the CSV Column Order.|
|CSV Column Order -||List of new business fields that have been selected to be part of the CSV mapping to be imported. The CSV Column Order should reflect the column order in your CSV import file. Select a field from the CSV Colum Order and use the left arrow button to remove a field from the CSV Column Order. The arrows allow for moving fields to and from the "Available Columns" and "CSV Column Order". The "Insert" button in between the two panes allows you to insert a column in between fields.|
Once the mapping is complete, click the Save button to commit your changes. The temaplate is now available to be used to import a CSV file containing new debtor records. To import, from the CSV Import Maintenance Window, select the template and click on the Import button at the bottom of the screen. You will be prompted to select the path and filename to import. Click OK to complete your import and review the newly created batch under Impact - New Debtor Processing - New Debtor Entry. See screenshot below.
