The Export Mapping Definition (EMD) is a GUI template that defines the record layout of an export output.
Navigation to the Export Mapping Definition Table and where it is used.
In the EDI Tool Manager – Click on the EMD button to open the Export Mapping Definition table
Or select an export template as shown below and double click
In the Export EDI tab - If you’re creating a new EDI, you will need to click on the “+” to add a new line and it will open the EDI Tool Process Maintenance. For EDI where there’s already an existing Record Type, simply double click on the line.
EDI Tool Process Maintenance – Click on the EMD to open the Export Mapping Definition table (Note: EDI Tool Process Maintenance module will be covered in a following session)

to refresh the table
to add new EMD
to edit the export mapping description
to save the changes on the export mapping description
to delete an EMD
to export the mapping definition table to MS Excel (this does not export the actual mapping definition)
to export the EMD to an external location
to import a previously exported EMD
